Moving Short Distances

So Rachel and I are moving from our lovely 1 bedroom apartment in Longmont to another lovely 1 bedroom apartment in Lafayette. For those of you unfamiliar with the geography of Boulder County here's a Google map that explains everything:

So as you can clearly see, we only moving about 15 miles, but that means that my commute to CU will remain the same and Rachel's drives to work and school will both be 15 miles shorter. So it makes sense, but it's really not much fun at all. Despite the lack of fun, we'll be moving on April 25th. Any suggestions on how to avoid being the weird new people in the ward (other than not being a guy who likes physics) would be appreciated.
